SUCCESS!!!

I started seeing the NUCCA Dr because my hip joints were painful. The first adjustment, my hip moved and I did nothing to move it. Since, I’ve been seeing NUCCA Dr. I’ve had no pain.

I was also getting headaches and now I haven’t had a headache since.

I have been very excited to get treatment since I’ve noticed little things. My allergies that were bothering me haven’t bothered me since I started my adjustment. I can walk better, roller blade without pain. It is great. I am happy that I’ve discovered this treatment.

I also like the fact that there is no popping or pain involved.

Arm Pain

SUCCESS!!!

I am 61 years sold and have been a hairdresser for 41 ½ years, and have had many health problems over the years.

I started going to Dr. Allen the first of June, it is now Oct. We live 3 hours away so this has been a commitment. I could see some changes right away. I no longer needed Zantac for the acid in my stomach and a couple of weeks after Dr. Allen started working with me my headaches quit – I was taking 10 to 12 Advil a day for headaches. One Sat. Dr. Allen met us at his office and worked me through one of my headaches. How many Drs. Care that much?

Even though these factors were better, I had a disc problem in my neck and spine that started over 11 years ago – in the last 2 years I had gone to steroid injections every 3 months, but I knew I could not continue that. I was told by the Dr. that had done the injections that the disc space had collapsed and caused narrowing where the nerve roots came out. This problem had caused severe pin in my nec and going down both arms and my fingers were numb. I could stand and it would ease some, but sitting or lying down felt like knives stabbing in my body, and it would keep me awake most of the night.

During all of this, it brought me so close to God that I was praying all of the time and I know God brought me to Dr. Allen for help, he has always been so patient and caring. Once we got to the office on a Friday evening at 4:20 and Dr. Allen worked with me for 3 hours – new x-rays and whatever he had to do!

Then I was back on Monday morning and he worked another 1 ½ hours. I just had lots to work through and to not give into injections again. 3 weeks ago I realized the pain in my neck is gone – my arms aren’t hurting and the numbness in my fingers is almost completely gone now. I can sit down and I can sleep at night.

I think we all need to realize this pain has been with us for years, it is not going to go away with one treatment but it’s worth the wait and Thank God for Drs like Dr. Allen that give us Hope!

SUCCESS!!!

Having been a white water raft guide for several years, I could see the writing on the wall when it came to the tremendous lack of moisture expected for the upcoming season of 2002. I did what any practical, self-serving guide would do… I left town and headed for Oregon.

Desperate for work, I found a job rafting for an undisclosed company that I’ll refer to as Shady Outfitters. The rivers were dull (albeit scenic), the guides were second rate and the equipment was poorly maintained. It was not all that surprising, that despite my experiences driving shuttle buses in the harsh Rocky Mountain winters, I was not allowed to drive the company van for Shady Outfitters.

This particular day, it was raining lightly. The road had many hairpin turns with steep drop-offs and the driver was rummaging through his pockets while exceeding the speed limit by over 15 mph. He slipped off the right side of the narrow road while sliding around a tight corner and then quickly overcompensated to the left. I could see the empty trailer jack-knife along side us on the driver side. I felt the 15-passenger van start to roll over the trailer. I could see the other side of the road approaching fast and at an angle.

Call it chance, but for whatever reason, my safety-conscience mind allowed me to be a passenger without wearing a seat belt this day. I could see the slight burm that we were about to hit – upside down. I managed to launch myself into the back seat area. The van hit the dirt pile on the opposite side of the street completely upside down and with enough force to launch us into the air spinning. I felt like a gerbil in a wheel, constantly running with the turning vehicle.

I knew we were airborne over the edge of what ought to have been a 1,000 foot drop to the river gorge. Luckily the trees in Oregon are stout, indeed. We crashed through a few smaller ones and finally hit a strong row of older tree – sideways. Our trailer left a karate-chop mark in one of them, which I later estimated to be about 30 feet above our resting site. Miraculously, both the driver and I were seemingly uninjured.

I was the first to climb out of the window that had once been whole along the sliding door. It was then that I heard an unfamiliar noise. It took me a second or so to comprehend that one of the trees we had struck has slowly coming down upon us. I ducked back inside the van, which now resembled a crushed soda can.

The tree hit with an enormous crash and I was hesitant to move again, thinking that perhaps my luck was running out. It was then that I noticed that the entire front half of the roof of the van had clamped down upon what had once been my headrest. It occurred to me then of how violent our accident had been and of the realization that had I been wearing my seat belt, (as I still prefer to do), I would most certainly have been killed.

A loose wheel bearing reportably caused the outcome of this fiasco, but somehow I doubted it. None of it really concerned me until I felt a strange shape in my back some four months later. Workman’s Compensation had already turned my fractured hand into a “bruising episode,” and like most other raft guides I certainly did not have the funds to afford the luxury of medical insurance.

After a few days of swelling in my upper spine, I began to feel discomfort. It radiated into shooting pains all the way to my right hand. This I could deal with, but then it got worse. Five days and several months after my brush with death, I began to have trouble sleeping. I never have trouble sleeping. I found myself sitting up in bed with an elaborate pillow system and still denying my pain. I could only sleep in shifts of four hours.

I gave in and used my credit cards to see a local chiropractor that I will refer to as Dr. Poppensnap. After several visits, mechanical rolling tables, and something called the “drop-table method,” I was only feeling worse and had simply had enough. That was when a friend recommended Dr. Matt.

Right away things were different. For one, he actually seemed to care about what happened to me. Then he took a great deal of effort to make sure that I understood the procedures he was going to implement. I had never before met a doctor who treated me like a family member.

The treatments were non-invasive. I never once heard or felt my spine snap or crunch. In fact, had it not been for my immediate change in comfort level and the obvious caring nature that I had seen, I would have thought that I had been scammed. I always thought it should hurt before it got better.

When I first arrived at Colorado Spinal Care, I was unable to lie down or even lounge comfortably and I had not slept properly in over three weeks. I could not lift anything with my sore arm and I felt quite helpless and inadequate; to say nothing of sleep deprivation. In less than a month, I was back to an almost normal condition.

Although, I was unable to afford the entire recommended program as outlined by Dr. Matt. I do seem to be holding my alignment and I am back to my old antics of snowmobiling, telemark skiing and kayaking. I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to his work and I really appreciate his knowledge and kindness.

My mom has tried lots of things to get rid of her headaches. So, when my aunt told us about Dr. Allen we were hesitant that he could help her, but decided that we'd give him a chance.

Dr. Allen isn't like any doctor that I have ever met before. He doesn't have the same thought process that most doctors do, and that was refreshing.

Originally, my dad was supposed to see Dr. Allen with my mom, but when he couldn't travel down to Fort Collins because of things that needed his attention at our ranch, I went in his place.

I didn't feel like I was that bad off. I had been in a minor car wreck with my grandma when I was 12 and have come off a few horses, but I wasn't in much pain... so I thought. Dr. Allen adjusted me and I soon began to realize how much pain I had been in. I guess the pains grew gradually and I didn't notice them as much. My right arm would go numb and my shoulder would ache due to a fall I took with a horse last year and my hips would ache after a short time of sitting in class at college. Now, Dr. Allen is still dealing with some of the pain in my neck and upper back due to my car wreck, but the difference I feel is amazing.

The best part of going to Dr. Allen isn't getting adjusted. It's seeing the Spirit work through him. He helps my mother so much and is determined to try and rid her of her headaches all together. The day after my dad got adjusted he said, "I've never felt better!"

SUCCESS!!!

Following the good results that my mother had with NUCCA and Dr. Huff, I decided to give it a try. During the past 15 years I have broken my back in three different areas on three different accidents that resulted in very limited neck movement, not being able to lift my arms up for any length of time without making them numb and achy and sitting in one position for any length of time made my legs numb and hard to walk on. I have been to one of the best back specialists in Colorado and was informed that there was nothing they could do without severe complications and that I would just have to live with what I had. One orthopedic surgeon wanted to sign my disability papers for me.

Following the first treatment I was driving back to Laramie, WY and went to turn around to speak to my mom in the back seat when I suddenly realized that I had turned just my head around, and not my whole upper body to look at her. What a surprise!! Also my legs did not go to sleep on me when I got home as they usually did. Following the second treatment, I was advanced to maintenance therapy. Now I see the doctor when I feel I need it. I have had one more visit to the doctor following my over lifting, and not following the doctors lifting instructions. I can now run my heavy equipment without any leg numbness or pain, and can turn my head side to side.

I still can’t believe that the gentle manner in which Dr. Huff provides treatment can do so much. People that I am around during my workdays have noticed the change and inquired about what I had done and I have given them the folders, tapes and CDs.

The two of us were just starting to experience the wonder of the NUCCA method with Dr. Huff when we went to pick up our daughter from a camp she was attending above Fort Collins. Our daughter is in a wheel chair, and the night before there had been an accident where she was tipped over in her chair. She had hurt her arm, and also her back, which had been bothering her for over two years. Nothing had helped the back pain and spasms she kept experiencing. I would very much like to thank you for what you have done for me. I am so very grateful.

I first heard about NUCCA from my granddaughter, who was listening to the radio and heard about your treatment. She went and was utterly amazed. Then my daughter also went and called me saying mom you need to go.

I have had pain in my right arm and hand that also went into my neck and back. I was told I had carpal tunnel in my right wrist and would need surgery. I had pain in my left foot and always walked to the side. Migraine headaches also bothered me.

SUCCESS!!!

We have all heard “God works in mysterious ways”. Well, I believe he works in all our lives one way or another. In this case with me, I fell carrying a railroad tie, and hurt my upper back and right shoulder in late 1979. I was in the hospital in traction for about 30 days. Then about a year later I saw a specialist that told me I would have to have surgery or live with the pain. I decided to live with the pain. I started my trips to chiropractitioners from western Nebraska, Eastern Wyoming, even one in Kansas City, but it was only very temporary to say the least. I could not raise my right arm over my head without the feeling of a sharp pain in my neck and shoulder, and total numbness in my right hand.

When my son and his girlfriend Kristi talked me into seeing Dr. Huff I thought, why not, I hadn’t been to a Dr. in Colorado. When I met Dr. Huff, “talk about being skeptical”, he was smaller then me! When he stopped the pain in my neck I told him about the pain in my arm. After the second time on the table I could feel relief in arm pain. Baby Problems

SUCCESS!!!

This is a letter to give testimony of Dr. Allen Huff’s practice. 

I have been a patient of Dr. Huff’s now for about 5 months. Because of the life altering improvements I have experienced under his care, I have wanted for my son to start receiving care.

My son is now 1 and ½ months old. He was born with V.S.D. (Ventricular Septal Defect). That is a hole in the wall that separates the two ventricles of the heart. It sometimes requires open-heart surgery. They were trying to get my son to gain weight, but he couldn’t because of the strain this problem is putting on his heart. They begun to administer drugs that would make my son ill and have serious digestion problems and discomfort.

To help my son, I decided to bring him in to see Allen. Allen was very gentle and competent. I felt, as did my son’s mother, that he couldn’t have been in more capable hands. Dr. Huff and Dr. Matt Wehr, helped my son tremendously. He began to eat better, his color was better, (he looked very pale and sickly before). He also overcame his vomiting. I feel, for sure, that as a result of my son’s care under Dr. Huff, his quality of life has increased immensely. He was much happier, had better visits with better news at the doctor’s, and was more comfortable.

I am eternally thankful to Dr. Allen Huff and Dr. Matt Wehr for making my son’s life a little more comfortable until he has to have surgery. If I can trust them with my 1 and ½ month old son, then you can bet that they are competent, qualified, caring chiropractors, as well as great people.

SUCCESS!!!

I would like to personally thank Dr. Matt and Precision Spinal Care for helping my daughter Isabel with her colic. She had been suffering from the symptoms of colic for months and often had problems eating and sleeping comfortably. My wife and I read everything we could about colic and sought help from medical doctors, nurses, a massage therapist and a chiropractor, but nothing seemed to relieve her symptoms for any length of time.

About eight months ago, I brought my daughter to Fort Collins where she received a comprehensive examination of her upper cervical spine. Dr. Matt’s findings indicated that my daughter’s upper cervical vertebrae were misaligned which was affecting her digestion as well as her ability to heal and recover properly. Being an exercise physiologist and corrective exercise kinesiologist, I have worked with numerous health care professionals, and I have to say that Dr. Matt and his team were extremely knowledgeable about the human body, especially the upper cervical spine. They performed a thorough examination of my daughter’s spine and explained their findings to my wife and me so that we could better understand the process. Dr. Matt also preformed specific functional tests for her spine prior to performing the adjustment.

After Dr. Matt performed the upper cervical adjustment, he again explained what he was doing and showed us the before and after radiographs of my daughter’s spine. The results spoke for themselves. Not only could I see the difference on the x-ray film, I saw and felt the difference when he showed me the improvement in the function of her spine using the functional tests he had performed prior to the adjustment. My daughter’s unequal leg length had normalized, her spine, which had been restricted, was able to move freely, and her muscles and joints were virtually free of any restrictions.

The results of Dr. Matt’s adjustment were amazing immediately after the correction, and even more amazing during the days following the adjustment. About two days after my daughter had been seen by Dr. Matt, she slept soundly for hours, (which was a pleasant surprise) and she was able to finish her entire bottle of formula without crying. In fact, I remember her smiling for the first time while drinking her bottle. I also noticed that she seemed happier overall and smiled a lot more than she had been in the past.

It has been nearly eight months since her adjustment, and my daughter has been doing great. She recently turned nine months old and is still holding her correction, and is still happy and smiling a lot. The results that my daughter had with Dr. Matt were nothing short of amazing and I have personally seen and heard of many other success stories like this as well. I firmly believe in the N.U.C.C.A. system of chiropractic because it works! I started going to a chiropractor after spending years visiting doctors for a swollen big toe. My first chiropractor was a joke. He did let me know that I have scoliosis, but his treatments were ineffective and getting an appointment was impossible. As I got older my back started bothering my more and more. So I decided to start seeing a new doctor. He was wonderful. He tried and tried to improve my back and it helped, but it took many treatments a week. In December 2001, I had a beautiful baby boy. At this point in time the rest of my family was already visiting Dr. Matt, so I also started to see him. He has helped me so much. He also had helped my son tremendously. I am lucky to have met such a wonderful man. I can't say thanks enough. Dr Allen has greatly improved the quality of my life since I have started seeing him.

Before I started going to their office I had frequent back and neck pain, and was regularly sick. I had gotten into the habit of popping my back and neck, only making things worse. I had also come to the conclusion that I was going to be sick, and there was nothing I could do about it. Boy was I wrong. In the three months that I have been seeing him, I have only been sick a hand full of times. Down from being sick for months at a time. I have three children all of which have been constantly sick this winter. I was only out of commission twice, while they were in and out of the doctor’s office all winter. Also my back and neck rarely hurt anymore. Making activities much more comfortable. I plan to take all my children when they are willing and ready. Hopefully it can help them also.

I would recommend for anyone to try N.U.C.C.A, from age 0 to 100. My youngest son, Lleyton, age 6 months, has been seeing DR Allen from 19 days old. Lleyton was born with a hole in his heart between his two ventricles (the bottom two chambers), making it very difficult for him to gain weight. He ended up having surgery on the 16th of January to repair the hole. Since surgery Lleyton has gained 4 pounds in two months. Prior to surgery he had only gained a pound and a half since birth, three and a half months. Lleyton is holding his adjustment for over a month now and will probably only need to be seen a few times a year.

Hopefully there are only good things to come, thanks to the staff at Precision Spinal Care, their prayers love and support.

Back Pain

SUCCESS!!!

Dr. Allen,

Before my first visit with you, I suffered so much in my daily life. I had heat that radiated from my lower back, my hips, neck and back ached continuously. I have also suffered from migraine headaches since age 11. I am only in my early 40’s and felt as thought I was 80. Even my favorite activities like gardening and shopping were no longer enjoyable. I had no energy at the end of the day and spent every weekend resting and trying to recuperate from the workweek. Every night before going to sleep, my husband would rub my lower back to bring some relief so that I could fall asleep. Even lying in bed was not comfortable.

My first visit with you was amazing. The treatment didn’t hurt. I was a little confused having no cracking and no pain in the actual adjustment, however, shortly after I knew something was different. Better. The next day was the real test; I woke up with energy that I haven’t felt in years. I thought it was a miracle. Not only did I enjoy cleaning my home again, afterwards I shopped for hours and still felt good enough to cook a real dinner.

I have now seen you several times and my life has changed. I haven’t had migraines after very stressful events as I always have in the past. (I haven’t had any migraines since my first visit.) I have more energy and have accomplished so much. The heat in my lower back is gone and I may truly experience my first “cold” Wyoming winter this year. I sleep without any pain and I am comfortable and pain free 99% of the time. There are things I never even considered would be affected by you that have also improved.

When a person feels better, they are able to think better and believe it or not, I have become a better friend, wife and daughter, all thanks to you.

I wish words could explain how amazing you are. You have given me my life back and that blessing is truly heaven sent. God brings people in to our lives for a reason and you have been like a “fountain of youth” to me. Thanks again for being a miracle worker.

Thank you for helping me to feel better. It has been amazing transformation in a short period of time. It warms my heart to know there are such caring people as yourself and the others in your office. I greatly admire your genuine concern for your patients.

When I first came to you for help, I was experiencing dizziness, back and neck pain, headaches, and a multitude of other annoying discomforts. I had gone to my family physician, and to no avail, all blood tests came back normal, blood pressure ok, couldn’t find any medical reason for my dizziness. Next step was to have an MRI for further evaluation. At that time, my daughter had told me about the amazing things you had done for her friend in Laramie. Dear Dr. Matt,

I just wanted to thank you for inviting me to Tulsa and start the NUCCA Treatment. Here is a small history of me so you can share it with your patients.

I am 74 years old and until a year and a half ago, I walked 3 ½-4 miles every morning, then my legs and my back started to give me problems; shooting pains, muscle spasms, and lots of pain. I went to many different doctors and had lots of tests & finally they said I had an old ruptured disc & would need surgery. I didn’t want to have the surgery so your offer (to visit Tulsa) came at the right time.

Last year I could hardly walk through a grocery store without lots of pain and fear I would not make it. Now, I am back walking a couple miles a day and it feels so good.

I have been seeing a chiropractor about twice a week for the past year and a half. It was difficult to do daily activities like carrying groceries or lift up my son. Things like this would make my whole back and neck hurt for days. The traditional Chiropractic care I was receiving would eliminate the pain for a day or two, but it would always return. A friend of mine suggested that I try this form of Chiropractic care, it seemed to be helping her. 

At first I was hesitant to try or even believe how it could help. How could you get adjusted and your back feel better without cracking it? I decided to try it and I am glad I did. During my first adjustment it almost felt like blood was flowing in my back again. There was a tremendous release of pressure and almost a tingling sensation throughout my whole back. I’ve been able to hold my adjustments longer than the traditional care and I don’t get to the point of not being able to turn my head or other simple motions.

I am very excited about this type of Chiropractic care because now I can have fun with my son and I don’t have to worry about whether or not I will be able to move the next day! If there are days when I start to hurt, it’s usually better the next day, whereas before I would be sore for days until I could get an adjustment. 

I recommend NUCCA to anyone that I talk to that complains of back problems. I think it is one of the best things you can do for yourself to feel healthy and enjoy life.

SUCCESS!!!

I was very skeptical when I first learned about NUCCA because Chiropractors had been a regular part of my life for about 12 years. It seemed regular Chiropractic just didn’t “last”. Within several days I would hurt as badly as before I went for an adjustment.

This was different though!

Constant headaches were a part of my daily life. My lower back hurt continuously to the point of nausea. There was always fear of twisting too much or stretching the wrong way.

No more. My headaches are completely gone. My back feels great! Now I can bend in any direction. I have not been able to do that for years. I was told at 32 that my back was that of a 65 year old. It feels better than it was in my early 20’s and I am now 46.

I am a firm believer this works!

I am lucky to have met such a wonderful man. I can't say thanks enough. Dr Allen has greatly improved the quality of my life since I have started seeing him.

Before I started going to their office I had frequent back and neck pain, and was regularly sick. I had gotten into the habit of popping my back and neck, only making things worse. I had also come to the conclusion that I was going to be sick, and their was nothing I could do about it. Boy was I wrong. In the three months that I have been seeing him, I have only been sick a hand full of times. Down from being sick for months at a time. I have three children all of which have been constantly sick this winter. I was only out of commission twice, while they were in and out of the doctors office all winter. Also my back and neck rarely hurt anymore. Making activities much more comfortable. I plan to take all my children when they are willing and ready. Hopefully it can help them also.

I would recommend for anyone to try N.U.C.C.A, from age 0 to 100. My youngest son, Lleyton, age 6 months, has been seeing DR Allen from 19 days old. Lleyton was born with a hole in his heart between his two ventricles (the bottom two chambers), making it very difficult for him to gain weight. He ended up having surgery on the 16th of January to repair the hole. Since surgery Lleyton has gained 4 pounds in two months. Prior to surgery he had only gained a pound and a half since birth, three and a half months. Lleyton is holding his adjustment for over a month now and will probably only need to be seen a few times a year.

Hopefully there are only good things to come, thanks to the staff at Colorado Spinal Care, their prayers love and support.

SUCCESS!!!

When I first came to Precision Spinal Care, my back constantly hurt! I could not sit anywhere, comfortably, for very long. I always felt like I needed to try and twist my back to stop the pain. I have had this problem for over 20 years! I would go through periods where my back felt OK for a while, but the pain and acheyness always returned. 

I never did go to a Chiropractor for fear that my back problem would be made worse. (I had heard horror stories from several friends.) When I first arrived at Colorado Spinal Care, Matt was very patient and polite, even though I pretty much told him that I didn’t trust him and that I wasn’t too sure that what he was doing was going to help.

After being adjusted, my pain is gone! I can sit for hours! I am not all the time thinking about my back or complaining about it! (I’ve found new things to complain about.) I can also think better and I can focus on a task and not be distracted by pain. I did not expect this, but I can BREATHE NOW!! Immediately after my back is adjusted, I can take a deep breath. I always thought that my anxiety problem hampered my ability to breathe freely, now I feel that it has been the misalignment of my spine that affected my breathing. 

I guess what I like best about the care is that my back doesn’t hurt… And Matt is nice too! If I were to recommend them, I would have to say, “don’t try to figure-out what the heck they are doing, just try to be aware of the improvements you feel and the overall effects that help you to go about your day. I no longer try to figure Matt out, I’m just happy as heck to be feeling better.”

I had back problems for several decades. About 8 years ago, my back gave in -- It was a painful experience. I laid inside of my front door on the floor for 3 days. My doctor said "Take pain killer". Well, it did not help. After that I went through many sessions of "physical therapy". After each session I felt better, but by the next day the pain came back.

A friend of mine told me about a Chiropractic doctor. He is a wonderful and very skillful doctor. He helped me a great deal. My back had improved over the years. I visited him every 1-2 months. After several years of treatment, my biggest problem is at my right shoulder. My lower back was actually very good. The only problem I have is that when something goes wrong, it just gets worse and worse

Then, a wonderful thing happened. My wife met Allen in a church-sponsored volleyball team. Allen introduced the concept of NUCCA to my wife. My wife and I watch the video tapes Allen loaned to us. To be honest, I was very skeptical. By the way, my wife also had been visiting my Chiropractic doctor for years as well. Her problem was worse than mine. Her problems often return not long after each visit. She decided to give NUCCA a try. Well, the rest is history. Her condition improved dramatically -- she does not complain about pain often anymore -- a very very good thing for me. :-) Seeing what I saw, I decided to give it a try too. 

Allen is a kind and caring doctor. And, patient too. He answered many questions my wife asked. (My wife is one of the most curious persons in the world. :-) More importantly, I found that my body does try to correct itself as promised. I'm actually building my mountain home. The amount of physical labor my wife and I are going through is unbelievable. We couldn't have done it without Allen's treatment. Even though we still have pain all over due to the work and the abuse too :-), I can honestly say that NUCCA is certainly magical -- the gentle touch indirect moving a small piece of bone makes my body to heal itself. After a long day of labor, I can feel my body makes its attempt with a night of rest. I'm grateful that I met my Chiropractic doctor and Allen. Both helped me a great deal. Comparing the two approaches, while I like and benefited tremendously from my Chiropractic doctor who is one of the best in his field, I prefer NUCCA because it allows my body to naturally correct itself, at least attempt to. Yes, I will be seeing Allen often, at least until my project is complete. 

I'd recommend anyone to give Allen and NUCCA a try. It is magic.

Thank you for everything you have done for me! When I first came to you about the pain in my back, I had never hurt so bad in my life. I was in so much pain at times I could not think of much more. Dear Dr. Allen,

I am writing this letter as a big “thank you” to one of the truly finest doctors in the world. I feel it is a great honor just being introduced to you, let alone being able to be treated by such an incredible individual. Your knowledge about life in general is as intense and vast as your knowledge in your career.

I am 52 years old and had sometimes excruciating back pain for about 6 months before a dear friend told me about your services. Throughout the years I had seen many doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists, etc. This time in my life, I was just receiving no relief whatsoever. After you are in severe pain and can’t do many things in life that were “normal” everyday tasks, I was at the end of my rope. Even finding the horrible thought of suicide creeping into my mind. 

My first visit to Dr. Allen found my with my wonderful parents who drove me from Greeley to Fort Collins because it hurt so bad just to get in and out of a vehicle, let alone drive. Walked into his office with my cane and was taken aback with the great hospitality and friendliness. The patience Dr. Allen had (has) was incredible and I felt he was truly listening to my sob story. I was very, very skeptical with the whole chiropractic procedure, but it disappeared after experiencing the treatments and learning more abut NUCCA.

After a few months of treatments, we were discussing why I would feel good for a few days, then something as simple as a sneeze would send me back to square one with the pain. He mentioned a herniated disc and the only way to find out was by having and MRI done. Daruen was sharp enough to realize there was something more going on and strongly recommended having one done.

Even though the pain increased when I laid flat on my back, I’m so, so very glad he was on top of the situation. They found not a herniated disc, but three compressed fractures in my spine. Two were moderate and one was severe. I was told that they were caused from a bad fall (which I had done in July 2003-6 months previously) and/or osteoporosis. At least we knew more about what was going on with this old body.

Between taking many more vitamin supplements, walking and Dr. Allen’s treatments, I am getting better day-by-day. Dr. Allen’s advice to walk as much as I could has really helped and every time I do, his words come to mind, “If you don’t use it, you’re gonna lose it.”

I so look forward to seeing Dr. Allen because at times, I’ve felt like he has in a way been my personal psychiatrist, because of his listening skills and “bedside manner”. I am truly blessed to have this fantastic doctor and man as part of my life.

My story begins in the summer/fall of 2002. It started as lower back pain and promptly became a sciatic nerve condition affecting my left hip and leg. Everything I tried didn’t provide relief. Finally, in November with debilitating pain, I sought treatment from a surgeon; to no avail. Again in March of 2003, I had surgery on my lower back for this condition. Neither surgery was beneficial. After the second surgery, I resolved myself to living with the pain, but it became unbearable. Painkillers were the only way I could get through the day. Some mornings the only way I could get out of bed was to roll out on all fours! Even then the first couple hours the pain was excruciating!

By some miracle, a neighbor in August of 2003 encouraged me to seek help from Dr. Matt at Colorado Spinal Care, cautioning me not to make any snap judgments and give the treatment a chance. Being desperate, I called the office the next day. After two trips to Fort Collins a week a part and two subsequent visits a month a part in Hayes Center, NE. Thank God for Dr. Matt. I stand up straight and walk without pain. Thanks for giving me my life back.

I must write this to tell you that I feel the best I have in YEARS! I used to have chronic back pain in my lower and middle back that has plagued me since I was a checker at a busy grocery store. I tried a chiropractor and was really disappointed with the results. I went three times a week for about four months and never really felt like my old self. I grew tired of the constant contortions my chiropractor seemed to put my body through to bring me to a “better state” of health. Yea right.

Well since then I moved to Colorado and met a great friend who told me to try your therapy out. I admit I was a little skeptical about what such a light touch could do for this pain I had been living with the last 8 years of my life. When Dr. Huff adjusted me for the first time I was in utter shock at the heat and tingling that was coursing through my back and indeed my whole body. Since then I have been adjusted about 5 or 6 times and have increased my time in between appointments to 30 days. The pain is GONE! This is truly a remarkable technique that has prompted me to tell my friends and family everything about it.
